IEEE MSIT YouTube ML Series

24 April 2021

IEEE MSIT RAS initiated a YouTube series on the topic “Zero to Gans in Machine Learning”. The YouTube series aims to help students and to provide hands-on learning experience on Machine learning. Machine learning is a method of data analysis that automates analytical model building. It is a branch of artificial intelligence based on the idea that systems can learn from data, identify patterns and make decisions with minimal human intervention. The series commenced in August, 2020 and till now there have been a total of six uploads. The series tends to the audience who are just beginning with or are fairly new to machine learning. The series started with an introductory session taken by Abhishek Parashar, A Kaggle Expert, Google AI Explore ML Facilitator, mentor and a DRDO research intern. The interactive session addressed the questions of the audience members regarding the career opportunities in Machine learning, building a strong profile using data science and machine learning, internships in machine learning and about making projects to meet industry standards. The series continued with successive uploads and focused on providing ample stress on the fundamentals. The uploads for 2020 include: Honest talks on Machine Learning, Machine Learning Series introduction, Pandas and data frames and NumPy fundamentals for ML. The uploads for 2021 include: Introduction to Python and Python lists. Additionally, the series also has associated groups on various social medias to discuss different aspects of machine learning and to resolve doubts. Similarly, attached doubt forms and feedback forms have also been circulated with the information regarding the uploaded videos. The YouTube ML series has garnered an average of 200 views and has proved to be fruitful to the intended audience.
