IEEE WIE, MSIT brought another exciting event with some brainstorming challenges to solve real-life problems, HackWIE MSIT. HackWIE MSIT was the premier hack event of IEEE WIE MSIT which was held from November 28, 8am till November 29, 5pm on the Google Meets platform. This hackathon was open for students from all colleges. Participation could be done in teams of two to four, with at least one female member. The themes of the hackathon included: 1. Health Care 2. Education 3. Environment 4. Agriculture 5. Women Safety 6. Information Security 7. FinTech The event was organised with the aim to promote women in the field of technology and giving everyone equal opportunity. The hackathon began at 8 am on November 28 and ended at 5 pm on November 29. There were 2 stages of the hackathon in which the participating teams had to create a project solving real world issues based on the themes provided. The hackathon was judged by Dr. Jyoti Jain who is a Reader in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering department at MSIT, and Dr. Prabhjot Kaur, an Associate Professor in the Information Technology department of MSIT. Stage 1 All teams had to submit a presentation explaining their project with all the relevant details along with the progress of the project. The presentation was in the form of a video along with a PPT consisting of slides. Stage 2 After many stunning ideas, top 9 teams were selected for the final presentation round. Each team had to give a presentation and a working demo of their projects in front of the judges. With over 200 registrations, the teams came up with innovative digital solutions to solve issues in the domains of healthcare, education, agriculture, women's safety, and many more. The top three winners of the hackathon were awarded with exciting prizes. The best all girls team was also awarded with exciting prizes by IEEE WIE MSIT. It can be proudly stated that this hackathon proved to be very insightful and an engaging event for all the participants.
