Mr. Brayan Abraham is an MSIT alumnus who is serving as a Software Engineer at WINGIFY. He was also the Technical Activities Coordinator at IEEE MSIT and placement coordinator of the year 2019-20. The session focused on the following topics: ● The Process ○ Mail, Data Collection & Shortlisting ○ Online Test (OLT) ○ Coding Round ○ Technical Interview ○ HR Interview ○ Case Study ○ Group Discussion ● Preparation ○ Aptitude & Logical ○ English ○ Coding ○ Core Subjects ○ Puzzles ● Important Things ○ Marks & Backlogs ○ Dress Code ○ Internship/ Training ○ Resume ○ Portfolio/ Interview Kit ○ Off Campus Drives ○ Attitude ○ Make your choices clear ○ It’s all about Luck Mr. Brayan shared his experience and knowledge with the attendees and focused his attention on the above topics. He beginned by describing “The Process” which included the cutoff for shortlisting the students for the placements. He shared that the marks should be in the range of and for: ● 10th Marks – 70% - 75% ● 12th Marks – 70% - 75% ● B.Tech Marks – 65% - 80% ● Backlogs – Preferably 0 He then went on and described about the Online Test (OLT) which is a standard test conducted by all companies to test one’s aptitude, logical and language skills (English) & Coding Test which judges one’s knowledge on Data Structures and Algorithms. He also addressed topics on Technical Interviews, HR Interviews, Case Study and Group Discussions. Preparation guidance was also imparted throughout the session in all aspects namely, Aptitude and Logical, English, Coding, Core subjects and puzzles. The second half of the session focused majorly on presentation skills and grooming for the face to face interviews.The attendees were also provided with resources that could be of help in future. These resources are: ● RS Aggarwal ● Geeks for Geeks ● Codechef ● InterviewBit ● Leetcode The session saw record breaking attendees with more than sixty participants throughout the session. More than fifty queries were resolved and attended and wonderful feedback was received.
