IEEE MSIT aims at motivating and pushing passionate students to work on real world problems and creating constructive solutions using their technical skillset. Smart India Hackathon is a nationwide initiative to provide students with a platform to solve some of the pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem-solving. The Student Branch committed to helping aspirants who are aiming to participate and represent our college at the national level by answering all their doubts with the help of our college seniors who were proud winners of this competition this year. The members of the two winning teams from our college were the speakers for this event. Team Brainiacs 101 led by Rakshit Satija and Team Central Crew led by Anshuman Padhi answered all the frequently asked questions about Smart India Hackathon and gave tips to aspiring participants as to how they can be win the upcoming similar hackathons and competitions. The members of both the winning teams shared their experience and useful tips which helped them achieve this success. They talked about preparation, application process of SIH, thought process while coming up with an appealing idea, benefits of participation and winning, prerequisites, challenges and many more insights that can prove to be very effective in winning such future events. The interactive session had a great turnout of more than 50 attendees and nullified all the queries related to SIH and overcoming frequently faced challenges.
