The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. As the need of the hour is primarily technology and the betterment of humanity, IEEE can be looked upon as a broad collaboration platform for the tech enthusiast students. Here I am sharing my experience with IEEE as a student. It really moves the basic understanding of practical applications towards engineering and technology. It provides the development and professional aspects of the career and also helps in building a student’s overall personality. IEEE is an initiative to bring exposure to the members about the advancements in the technical field, build confidence, and interact with experts. It envisions to “Lead a wave of change” through its technical advents for the betterment of society. Since it’s inception in 2009, a team of conscientious and zealous IEEE volunteers, holding various positions of responsibility, work with utmost dedication to make each event a huge success. IEEE works into building the college’s biggest technical society for engineering, computing, and technology information. An IEEE Student Branch provides opportunities to meet and learn from fellow IEEE Student and Graduate Student Members and engage with professional IEEE members locally. An active IEEE Student Branch can be one of the most positive elements of your academic career, offering programs, activities, and professional networking opportunities that build critical skills outside of the classroom. IEEE currently has Student Branches at thousands of universities and colleges in hundreds of countries throughout the world.
